Information about the structuring of the data on this site (Nederlandse versie) - This is the main site - Not in use anymore - replacement for - alternate site for (mostly more reliable and faster)
There are also some reports on and most pictures are on
I also have some of my data on (connected to the Geni World tree of some 65 milion profiles): my profile on Geni       Waterreus on Geni and some data in Geneanet based on Geni: Geneanet data based on Geni
The data on Geneanet is an summary of the Geni data but will give a better family overview then Geni does. To find the corresponding geni profile you can use the Index on > 100.000 Geni profiles

There is a lot of data on the site so below is some information about using the site (picture of home page below is rather old)

Using the graphical reports (grafische overzichten)

From the home page a number of different reports can be started; some of them family trees. As an example the family tree (stamboom) of Dirk Waterreus (see green arrow above):

For using this type of reports a browser which supports frames is needed.
(these pages are optimized for use of Firefox)

Depending on the speed of the internet connection the loading of these pages can take a consideral amount of time
(Please wait till the pages are completely loaded before attempting to navigate on a page!!!)

In the upper part of the screen the graphical view is shown, in the lower part the textual view. You can move the deviding line between them with the mouse (see green arrows above)

Using the upper frame (the graphical view)

By clicking on info in that frame (not on the picture above) a page with info on Kstableau (the program that is used to generate this report) will be shown.

Clicking on Overzicht will show a graphical overview on the total tree.

Als frame

As a frame: Use this when only a graphical view is shown to devide the screen in two frames (with the text view in the lower frame) This can be useful when you arrived on the page from a search and the text part is not shown.

Clicking on Start will display the start person (here Dirk) in the graphical view.

In the graphical view the lastname (in this example Waterreus) is not shown for family members, for members of other families only the first letter of the firstname and the familyname is shown.

Clicking on a name (graphical frame)

By clicking a name the data of that person will be shown in the text view (here G Roberts, see mouse cursor above):

Using the text view

Number of a child

By clicking the number after a child (e.g. 14.103 after Rodney Adam Roberts) the details of that child will be shown.

Nummer of a parent

By clicking the number that is in front of the selected person (e.g. 13.132) the details of the first parent (the father) of that person will be shown.

Click a name (text view)

By clicking a name of a geselected person that person will be selected in the graphical view.

Family data

By clicking on the F in front of a selected person the family data of that person will be shown in a separate window. This will be in English (same data that you get when following the database link on the homepage).
For the latest version a Dutch version is available as well.

Family data

When no data is shown (only Main Index A-Z)
You can try to showall (when javascript is enabled) or disable stylesheets when the browser supports that (use of Firefox is recommended)

Jumping to other family data

When a name or a combination of names is shown in blue (like Reginald David Roberts and Valmai Margeret Lilie McMurty above) then you can jump to other family data by clicking it.

Jumping to the lastname index

When just the lastname is shown in blue (like Waterreus above) then by clicking the lastname an index on the persons with that lastname will be opened in a sepate window (this jumps into the main ndex).
By using the Main Index you can search for any person.

Links to other reports

In this first example after Family a S and a S2 is shown and in the second a KG, K, P and S2.
these are links to other reports as shown on the homepage (see green arrows below).
There may also be a geni link to the corresponding family on Geni.

By clicking on the S or S2 the text view of that report will be shown in a separate window (click on tableau to also see the graphical data in that case). Or in the text view part of the screen if you already had a graphical report open. In that case the text part will be replaced by the new report (By clicking on a person in the text view the graphical view will be updated). In this way you can switch between separate reports when a person is common to them.

By clicking in on tableau (see green arrow above) a window will be split in two: the upper part will show the graphical data, the lower part the text data

Sometimes a K will be shown after the family text.

this is a link to the kwartierstaat (tekstversie) (a different kind of report)

Kwartierstaat (tekstversie)

Jumping within the kwartierstaat

The links that are marked by Zie followed by a number (like Zie 2048 below) link within the report to detail data of the child.

When a parent is known (like with 67968 above), then the number before the person is a link to the first parent of that person.

Jumping from kwartierstaat to family data

By clicking in the kwartiestaat report on a name in italics (like Willem Aertsz van Tetrode above)the family data of that person will be shown in a separate window. This will be in English (like what will be shown when you follow the database link from the home page.

Using shown internet links

When using Firefox please use an add-on (see which will make it possible to jump to the shown internet links (like htpp:// above) by clicking them. Internet links change frequent, so some (most?) will not work anymore (you may be to use the google cache to acess them).

Relationship (Verwantschap) index (menu Extra)

In the index the persons are shown who are included in a least one relationship report. By clicking a report in this index an overview is shown of the persons in that report

By clicking Tableau the graphical view will also be shown (see example below)

Relationship reports (Verwantschapsinformatie) (menu Extra)

From the extra menu you can jump directly to one of the reports

Tableau can be used when the text view was not shown in a frame (e.g. when you arrive on it by searching with a search engine)

Use ID (see red arrow) to jump to the family data (jumping from the database to these reports is not supported at this time)

Click on a name (see blue arrow) to select that person in the graphical view.

Clicking on a parent or child (see green pijl) will show the data of that person in the text view

By pointing to a person in the graphical view the details of that person will be shown
